SST Excellence accepting new applications for 2017-2018

Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers,

We cannot believe that we are starting for our next year’s enrollment.

We currently are accepting new applications for new students for PK thru 6th grades. The cut-off date for new applicants will be February 10. If your child knows anyone who would be interested in attending SST Excellence, have him or her fill out the online application.

Dear Parents,
4th and 5th graders are enjoying Renaissance Festival Field trip! Wednesday, November 8th.

Friday, November 10th, our kindergarteners and 1st graders are attending the Dewberry Farm.We appreciate our parent volunteers for their time.

Wear Jeans and Support Your School!

Dear Parents,
If you want your child to wear jeans on friday, please send $1 with your child. Our volunteers will be collecting money on Friday from 7:15 AM. to 8:00 AM. This campaign will be only for Fridays and it will continue during the month of November.

Houston Museum of Natural Science FIELD TRIP

Wednesday, December 6th, 2nd and 3rd graders will be attending Houston Museum of Natural Science. The cost to attend is $20.00 per child; entrance fee is $8.00 which is included in the cost. Optional fees are $3.50 each for planetarium and butterfly exhibit. Parents, please fill out the permission slip completely and return with payment to homeroom teacher by November 10, 2017.

Community Fall Festival, Saturday, November 11th

Dear Students and Parents,

SST Excellence students, faculty/staff and administrators are happy to announce that our annual International Community Fall Festival, Saturday, November 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The festival will feature activities including carnival-style games, prizes, face painting, rock climbing, hamster ball, photo booth, music, food and more. The variety of activities will provide entertainment for all ages!!

ESL Parents’ Meeting on Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Dear Parents,
We would like to extend a warm welcome our all of our parents and parents of our English Learners (EL). SST Excellence and the ESL team would like to invite you to attend our school wide Title III Parents’ Meeting on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 8:00 to 09:30 AM. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions and meet your child’s ESL teacher. We will have translators present to provide assistance if needed. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Help Needed for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

Dear SST Excellence Learning Community,

Our SST - Excellence Fifth Graders and Student Ambassador team are initiating a help campaign for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico starting Monday, October 2, 2017. Due to our recent experiences of Hurricane Harvey, we are passionately wanting to help our community in need.

All homerooms in SST are competing with each other to raise the most money. Your student can bring coins, as well as dollars, every day next week until our coin drive ends on Friday, October 6, 2017. Homeroom teachers will collect the funds every morning. At the end of the week, the homeroom with the greatest amount of funds will win a PIZZA PARTY!!!

New Lunch System
